The value for money at the hotel was excellent, with a spacious and well-appointed room. The location was perfect, close to the center of the old town with a beautiful view, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better would be to have a wider variety of breakfast items.

We had a lovely 6-night stay at Aparthotel De Koning in Alkmaar. The central location was excellent, allowing us to easily explore the city on foot. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, especially the kitchen which allowed us to self-cater. The view from the top floor was amazing, overlooking the rooftops and a working windmill. We also appreciated the affordable and secure parking nearby, as well as the proximity to bars, restaurants, and a supermarket. The friendly owners made us feel welcome, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommended!

The decoration of the hotel was simply charming, with elegant furnishings and a cozy atmosphere. The common areas were well-maintained and adorned with beautiful artwork. As a senior woman, I appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel, with wide corridors and conveniently placed handrails throughout. It made moving around the hotel a breeze.
The only thing that would have made my vacation even better as a senior woman is if the children working there could have provided some assistance with carrying our luggage up the stairs.

Had an amazing Easter weekend! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city. We enjoyed exploring all the shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook our own meals. The host was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed.
The only downside was the parking situation. It was difficult to find free parking nearby, and the paid options required some searching.
